Born in India, raised in the United Arab Emirates and educated in England, the USA and Canada, Jamshed’s multi-cultural background has given him a unique outlook on ethnic soundscapes and instrumental combinations.

Jamshed started his career as an orchestral musician, guest-leading orchestras in New York, Chicago, London, Toronto, Mumbai and Dubai. During this time he became increasingly interested in music for picture, performing as a violinist in the USA and working on films and shows such as Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and South Pacific.

While completing his Bachelors and Masters in music and computer science at Indiana University, Jamshed’s desire to combine both fields led him to various innovative projects within education and multimedia, including designing a music theory pedagogy software.

Alongside his film and TV work with composers from Canada, England and USA, Jamshed is an orchestrator and publisher for various organizations, including the Ensemble du Monde in New York, and the Opera de Camera in Montreal.

Motivated by an interest in film music theory and history, Jamshed is currently completing a doctorate at McGill University. His desire to balance the theoretical and practical side of multimedia production brought him to work at Campagn'Arts Media in 2007. In addition to his work as a music editor in the company’s various projects, Jamshed is responsible for music technology development, keeping Campagn'Arts Media’s studios at the cutting edge of audio production.
